  • Yes, it is indeed possible to launch Tier 2 SCV assessments without conducting the assessments for their higher tier level (Tier 1) suppliers first.
  • To do this, the customer needs to provide specific information in the CDIF (Customer Data Input File).
  • In case CDIF Tab-10 (Multi-tier Sourcing tab) is not enabled and if the customer includes the following details in the CDIF:
    • Tier 1 partner details
    • Tier 1 site address
    • Tier 1 part site mapping
    • Sub-Tier partner details like Emergency Contacts, Address
    • Higher tier supplier name
    • Then, the SCV assessment for Sub-Tier partners can be initiated directly, without requiring the assessment for Tier 1 suppliers to be launched first.
    • There are no restrictions on directly launching the SCV assessment for Sub-Tier partners.
    • However, it's important to note that if the SCV assessment is not conducted for Tier 1 suppliers, then Tier 2 suppliers will be responsible for providing their own parts in their SCV assessment.

  • In case CDIF Tab-10 (Multi-tier Sourcing tab) is enabled and if the customer includes the following details in the CDIF:
    • Tier 1 and sub-tier partner details on Suppliers and Multi-tier Sourcing tab.
    • Tier 1 and sub-tier site address
    • Tier 1 Part Site Mapping
    • Sub-tier Part Site Mapping on tab-10.
    • Sub-Tier partner details like Emergency Contacts, Address
    • Higher tier supplier name
    • With this setup, the SCV assessment for sub-tier partners can also be launched directly, and the relevant part and site information will automatically flow into the sub-tier SCV assessment.
