Is it possible to conduct Tier 2 SCV assessments independently, without necessitating the launch of their higher tier level (Tier 1) assessments beforehand?

Yes, it is indeed possible to launch Tier 2 SCV assessments without conducting the assessments for their higher tier level (Tier 1) suppliers first.
To do this, the customer needs to provide specific information in the CDIF (Customer Data Input File).
In case CDIF Tab-10 (Multi-tier Sourcing tab) is not enabled and if the customer includes the following details in the CDIF:
- Tier 1 partner details
- Tier 1 site address
- Tier 1 part site mapping
- Sub-Tier partner details like Emergency Contacts, Address
- Higher tier supplier name
- Then, the SCV assessment for Sub-Tier partners can be initiated directly, without requiring the assessment for Tier 1 suppliers to be launched first.
- There are no restrictions on directly launching the SCV assessment for Sub-Tier partners.
- However, it's important to note that if the SCV assessment is not conducted for Tier 1 suppliers, then Tier 2 suppliers will be responsible for providing their own parts in their SCV assessment.
