Can the customer add new parts to the SCV assessment after the supplier has already submitted it? Is there a specific time frame for adding these parts?

  • Yes, the customer has the capability to include new parts in the SCV assessment even after the supplier's assessment submission.
  • However, for this feature to be enabled, the customer must turn ON the settings option "Any new parts added to CDIF after the launch of the SCV assessment, to be visible in the assessment." by clicking on the gear icon at top right followed by Assessments page.

 

  • Furthermore, there is a time constraint for adding these new parts into the submitted assessments.
  • The CDIF containing the additional parts must be uploaded within 90 days from the start date of the assessment.
  • If the CDIF with the new parts is uploaded within this timeframe, the assessment will reflect the newly added parts.
  • The suppliers are notified via email when customers include new parts in their previously submitted assessments.
