How does removing part numbers from CDIF affect SCV assessments, war room impact details, and the Sub-tier Dashboard?

  • When customer or partner parts are uploaded to CDIF and an SCV assessment has already begun, those parts appear in SCV from both customer and supplier sources once validated. The impact of removing these parts from CDIF depends on timing and supplier validation status:
  • Removal before supplier validation (within 90 days):
If the supplier has not validated the parts and the SCV assessment is still within 90 days from kickoff, removing the parts from CDIF will also remove them from SCV. These parts will no longer appear in any war room impact notifications, and any linked sub-tier parts will be removed from the Sub-tier Dashboard.
  • Removal after supplier validation (within 90 days):
If the supplier has already validated the parts, deleting them from CDIF will not remove the supplier-validated entries from SCV. However, both customer parts and partner parts will be removed from war room impact details because the customer source has been deleted.
  • Removal after 90 days (regardless of validation):
If the SCV data is older than 90 days, removing the parts from CDIF will not remove the entries from SCV. Both customer-sourced and supplier-validated parts remain in SCV, but they will no longer appear in war room impact details. Those parts will be removed from assessment when its re-surveyed.
  • Sub-tier Dashboard:
Sub-tier parts removed from CDIF will also be removed from the Sub-tier Dashboard only if the supplier has not validated them in SCV.
