What is the purpose of the newly added Assessment Setting "Set Your Company's Control Level on Supplier Assessments and Supplier Contacts" in the customer portal, and how does it work?

  • The newly introduced Assessment Setting in the customer portal addresses situations where suppliers serve multiple Resilinc customers, potentially allowing access to data from different customers within their portal. To mitigate concerns about data privacy, the setting offers two parameters:

    • Only Designated Respondent Can Access Assessments: When enabled, only the designated respondent can open/edit assessments. If disabled, any user from the supplier's organization can open assessments.
    • Supplier Cannot Add Contacts: When enabled, none of the supplier users can add new contacts as respondents for assessments. Conversely, when disabled, all users from the supplier org can add new contacts as respondents for assessments.
  • These settings can be toggled independently, leading to different access control configurations. For example, if parameter 1 is enabled and parameter 2 is disabled, only the designated respondent can access assessments, but all supplier users can add new contacts as respondents. Conversely, if parameter 2 is enabled and parameter 1 is disabled, any supplier user can open assessments, but none of them can add new contacts as respondents.
  • This functionality offers flexibility in managing data access and respondent permissions within the supplier portal, ensuring appropriate data privacy measures are enforced.
