Why does my custom assessment show less than 100% completion even though all required questions are answered?

  • In custom assessments, the completion percentage is calculated based on all questions included in the template — this means both mandatory and non‑mandatory questions are factored into the overall score.
  • Mandatory questions must be answered in order to submit the assessment. These are the critical items that ensure the assessment can be completed.
  • Optional questions (such as file uploads, comments, or supplementary fields) are not required for submission, but they still contribute to the completion percentage. If these remain unanswered, the system will reflect a percentage below 100%.
  • As a result, it is possible to successfully submit an assessment while still seeing a completion percentage less than 100%. This is by design, as the percentage is intended to show how fully the assessment has been completed across all available fields, not just the mandatory ones.
