- Previously loaded UDA (User Defined Attribute) data cannot be restored by adding only the UDA column headers back into a subsequent CDIF upload.
- For UDA data to be populated on the platform, the CDIF must include both:
- The UDA column headers (prefixed with UDA_), and
- The corresponding UDA values for each supplier or site
- If UDA values were cleared in an earlier upload, the system requires the full data set to be reloaded.
- To restore cleared UDA data:
- Add the required UDA column headers (prefixed with UDA_) to the CDIF
- Populate each UDA column with the correct UDA values
- Upload the fully populated CDIF file
- Once the CDIF is successfully processed with both headers and values, the UDA data will be reflected correctly on the platform and in validation reports.
Best Practices for Managing UDAs via Data Loader
- Always include UDA columns and values in every CDIF upload when UDAs are managed through the Data Loader
- Avoid removing UDA columns from the CDIF unless the intent is to clear existing UDA data
- Use the Portal UI for ad hoc or one-time UDA updates
- Use the Data Loader (CDIF/SFTP) for structured or bulk UDA updates
- Ensure only one UDA management method is active at a time to prevent data conflicts.
