Why does a customer part, which is associated with a specific supplier, appear in the Sub-Tier Visibility page alongside other suppliers?

  • Navigation: Parts Orion page --> Sub-Tier Visibility Tab.
  • This behaviour is due to the functionality of the Sub-Tier Visibility page. This page displays multiple suppliers in the same cell (comma-separated) if they share a common combination in their respective data.
  • Example: To clarify, here’s an example to help explain why multiple suppliers appear together in the same cell:
  • In the attached screenshots, you'll notice that two suppliers both have a common element (i.e., the Sub-Tier Supplier Part Number) in their respective assessments for the respective Tier 1 Supplier Part Number (Product column).

    SCV of supplier 1:

SCV of supplier 2:

  • As a result, these Tier 1 Supplier Part Numbers for both suppliers are listed together in the same cell on the Sub-Tier Visibility page.

  • This grouping mechanism helps display the common data between suppliers more efficiently.
