Global Settings are role specific settings and can only be accessed and modified by users with the Company Admin role. Any changes or configurations done on this screen will be applicable to all of the company users and are effective at an organizational level. One of the best practices for the SCRM program leads is to ensure the Company Admin role is only assigned to superusers within the organization.
- News Bulletins:
News Bulletins are the industry specific news or alerts sent to users by Resilinc. These notifications may not be specific to a customer’s supply chain, or about any direct impact to a supplier, however most often the news bulletins provide updates on significant events across different industries and business verticals. The number of notifications users receive will be dependent upon the industries selected for monitoring in the Global settings. It is recommended to select only the industries which are applicable to your business or any other closely related industries. Selecting more industries may generate an excess of notifications.
- Impact Notifications / WarRoom Impact Notifications / WarRoom: Impact Notifications are the WarRoom or actionable notifications to alert users about potential impact close to the customer’s supplier sites. Company admin can define the criteria to receive selective notifications. For example, receiving potential impact notifications related to sites with no parts mapped may not be relevant for all the customers and such notifications can be ignored. Similarly, customers can choose to receive or ignore notifications if only their sub-tier supplier sites are notified. Configuring these settings can ensure users receive actionable information and maintain a satisfactory frequency of email notifications.
- Notifications to your Partner:
Although “Partner notifications” may not generate any additional notifications to customer users, this is one of the important Global Settings that organizations can benefit from during crisis situations. Switching Partner Notifications on will send notifications to partner point of contacts provided by the customers to seek their confirmation in a potential impact situation. When the users receive a WarRoom notification, a parallel notification goes out to the selected tier-1 or sub-tier suppliers to notify them about the same event and inform them about their site or sites identified in an impacted region. Resilinc highly recommends leveraging real-time partner responses as it can save the risk or event management team the time to manually reach out to suppliers. Detailed best practices can be found in Partner Impact Notification section.
