Why doesn’t a Partner Part Number (PPN) appear in WarRoom impact details when it is mapped to site in an SCV but not linked to a Customer Part Number (CPN)?

  • WarRoom creation and impact visibility are driven by Customer Part Numbers (CPNs).
  • If a supplier maps a Partner Part Number (PPN) on site in an SCV without linking it to a corresponding CPN, the part will not be included in WarRoom impact details. Because as per current functionality, supplier cannot provide the CPN info in the SCV. Hence, the PPN will not be included in WarRoom impact details.
  • Without this association, the Partner part will not appear in WarRoom Details and is excluded from WarRoom impact analysis.
  • To ensure the supplier part appears in WarRoom impact details, map the PPN to a valid CPN in the SCV. Once this linkage exists, the supplier part will be included in WarRoom impact details.
