Why does the system create separate product entries for names that look the same but differ only in letter casing (e.g., lowercase vs uppercase)?

  • The system treats product names as case-sensitive values. This means that even if two product names appear identical but differ in letter casing, they are considered distinct entities.

For example:

  1. baxdrostat (from BOM tab)
  2. Baxdrostat (from Product tab)

  • These will be treated as two separate products and will both appear in the Product listing.

As a result:

  1. You may see additional products in the UI
  2. These are not duplicates, but separate entries based on the CDIF input
  3. The total product count will still match the data provided in the CDIF

  • How to avoid this issue:
Ensure that product names are entered using consistent letter casing across all CDIF tabs (BOM, Product, etc.). This helps maintain uniformity and prevents unintended creation of multiple product entries.
