Why do I see multiple sourcing values (Sole, Single, Multi) for the same supplier in the Resilinc platform, and how can I ensure only one sourcing value is used?

  • If a supplier appears with different sourcing values (e.g., both "Single-Sourced" and "Multi-Sourced") in the Resilinc platform, it is because those values were provided as-is in the uploaded CDIF file. The platform reflects the data exactly as submitted—no automatic filtering or prioritization is applied during ingestion.
  • To ensure that each supplier is associated with only one sourcing value, you must pre-process and clean the data in the CDIF file prior to uploading.
  • Recommended Action:
    • Before uploading the CDIF file:
    • Review all rows in the Part Sourcing tab for each supplier.
    • If a supplier has multiple sourcing values, retain only the one with the highest priority, based on your organization’s sourcing policy.
  • For example:
    • If a supplier has both "Single-Sourced" and "Multi-Sourced", retain only "Single-Sourced".
    • If a supplier has both "Sole-Sourced" and "Single-Sourced", retain only "Sole-Sourced".
  • Recommended Priority Order: Sole-Sourced > Single-Sourced > Multi-Sourced
This data cleansing ensures sourcing consistency and prevents confusion or duplication once the data is ingested into the Resilinc platform.
