Why are the event-related API endpoints not reflecting or showing delays in populating impacted suppliers, parts, or sites during a large event?

The Rest API data is updated in real-time based on the information available in the database. However, in case of below scenario there may be sometime delay in event population:

  • When a large-scale event (such as a tariff-related disruption) is created by the Resilinc Event Monitoring Team, the system begins a multi-step backend process to handle and distribute the event data.
  • This process includes:
  • Event replication in the database, and
  • A phase called “event rest prepopulation”, which populates the data into API views accessed through tools like Postman or PowerBI.
  • Due to the high volume of impacted suppliers, parts, and customers, this data processing can take a considerable amount of time.
  • As a result, there may be temporary delays before the data becomes fully available and visible through the API endpoints.
