What causes new sites to appear in a closed WarRoom?

  • This is an expected behaviour based on the system’s design for regional WarRoom — those created using the Polygon or Circle method (for example, Earthquake, Extreme Weather, or Flood events).
  • When new sites or suppliers are added to the portal, their geolocation is automatically evaluated. If their location falls within the area covered by an existing regional WarRoom, the system automatically associates these new sites with that WarRoom — even if it has been closed.
  • This automation ensures that all sites within an affected region are correctly linked to relevant WarRooms for event visibility and tracking.
  • It’s important to note that this behavior does not apply to Partner Events (such as Bankruptcy or Business Sale), where sites are not automatically added after the event creation.
  • Additionally, if a site’s geolocation is corrected or updated, the system automatically adjusts its WarRoom associations as follows:
    • The site is removed from any incorrectly assigned WarRooms.
    • It is then reassigned to the appropriate WarRooms that match its corrected location.
