Why are closed events appearing under the "Select Existing Project, or Create New" field while creating a workflow, and how should I select an event for workflow creation?

The "Select Existing Project, or Create New" field is intended to display existing workflow projects and does not represent a list of events available for workflow initiation. The entries shown in this section are workflow project names that were previously created and remain available for selection regardless of the current status of the associated event.
To initiate a workflow for an active event, users should search and select the event from the "Select an Event" section instead of selecting an entry from the "Select Existing Project, or Create New" field. The "Select an Event" section is designed to display eligible events for workflow creation.
