Are errors or warnings shown in the CDIF Part Sourcing tab if mandatory fields like Supplier Part Number or Customer Part Number are missing?

  • In the CDIF template, all columns highlighted in white are considered mandatory, including the Supplier Part Number and Customer Part Number fields. However, the system is designed to allow partial data loads without showing errors or warnings if these specific fields are missing.
  • If the Supplier Part Number is not provided for a Customer Part, the data will still load successfully. Similarly, if the Customer Part Number is missing but the Supplier Part Number and Supplier Name are present, the system will accept the load.
  • This behaviour is intentional to support incremental data enrichment. Customers can provide missing Supplier Part Numbers or Customer Part Numbers in subsequent CDIF uploads, and the system will update the existing records accordingly.
  • The same behavior applies whether the CDIF is uploaded through DLA (Data Load Automation) or through the traditional portal upload.

Note: Such partial parts information will not flow into the SCV assessment.
