- The Multi-Tier Sourcing Tab in the CDIF of our Resilinc product is designed to facilitate the integration of multi-tier part sourcing data. This feature allows customers to map suppliers, sites, and parts across up to ten tiers within the customer portal.
- Below is the UI representation of CDIF tab-10 Multi-Tier Sourcing
- Requirements for using the Multi-Tier Sourcing Tab:
- Suppliers:
- Tier 1 and Tier 2 Supplier Names are mandatory fields.
- All supplier names must be normalized.
- If Tier 2 and beyond suppliers are not included in the Suppliers tab, records will not be created.
- Missing Tier N suppliers in the Multi-Tier Sourcing tab will result in the exclusion of that supplier and any downstream suppliers.
- Parts:
- Parts listed in the Multi-Tier Sourcing tab should have corresponding Supplier Name, Customer Part #, and Supplier Part # in the Part Sourcing tab to build proper connections.
- Parts without corresponding records in the Part Sourcing tabs will result in the creation of a new Part record without connections.
- Sites:
- Any site added to the Multi-Tier Sourcing tab must have a corresponding record in the Site List tab.
- All site names must be normalized.
- Tier 1 site data is inferred from the Suppliers, Part Sourcing, Site List, and Part – Site Map tabs.
- Suppliers:
- Best Practices for using the Multi-Tier Sourcing Tab:
- Normalize all supplier and site names.
- Ensure that supplier hierarchies are correctly represented in both the Suppliers and Multi-Tier Sourcing tabs.
- Validate that all parts have corresponding entries in the Part Sourcing tab to maintain proper connections.
- By adhering to these guidelines, customers can effectively leverage the Multi-Tier Sourcing Tab to accurately map their supply chain data across multiple tiers.
