What does the following warning on Tab 9 mean? "Supplier Part # (column C) cannot be loaded as From Site and Supplier Part belong to different hierarchy."

Created by Atif Ikramuddin, Modified on Thu, 9 Oct at 2:27 PM by Rohit Chorghe

This warning appears when, in Tab 10, the Supplier Part and the From Site do not belong to the same supply chain hierarchy.

To successfully load data, both the From Site and Supplier Part must be associated with the same supply chain path. If they come from different hierarchies—even if they appear to be at the same tier or belong to the same supplier—the system will block the data and display this warning.

Example for Better Understanding:

Tier 1 - Supplier NameTier 1 - Supplier Part #Tier 2 - Supplier NameTier 2 - Supplier Part #Tier 2 - Site Number
Company APart A1Supplier XPart X1
Company BPart B1Supplier X Site 1

In this example, if a user tries to map Part X1 with Site 1 as the From Site, the system will generate a warning. Although both the part and site are linked to the same supplier (Supplier X) and appear at the same tier, they are part of different supply chain hierarchies—one under Company A, the other under Company B—and cannot be combined.
