Why does the Supplier site I designated in my CDIF appear as "Tier 1,2"?

  • Suppliers are designated in Tab 1 'Suppliers'
    • Tier Level can be specified in Column W 'Tier Level'
    • The same supplier can exist in multiple rows at different Tier Levels
    • The same supplier can be listed under different names in Column A, because Resilinc will normalize the names in Column Y
  • Sites are designated by Tab 6 'Site List'.
    • Tab 6 Column M 'Supplier Name' must match a supplier name listed in Tab 1 Column A 'Supplier Name'.
    • If the same supplier’s name (spelled the same way) appears multiple times in Tab 1 Column A, the site in Tab 6 will be assigned to all of them
    • Therefore, if a Supplier on Tab 1 exists at Tier 1 and Tier 2, and the Supplier Name in Tab 1 Column A is spelled the same, the site in Tab 6 will be created as Tier 1,2
  • If the above behavior is not desired, ensure that Tab 1 Column A uses different names/spellings for the same supplier, e.g.:
    • Supplier XYZ at T1
    • Supplier XYZ Co at T2
    • This will allow you to specify that a Site belongs to 'XYZ Co' on Tab 6, causing it to only appear at Tier 2.
