How does Resilinc manage encryption keys, and can customers use their own keys for SFTP access?

  • Resilinc’s Infra team generates the encryption and decryption keys together. The encryption key is securely shared with the customer for local file encryption, while the decryption key remains with Resilinc to automatically decrypt files uploaded to the SFTP during CDIF creation. The encryption key is never stored on the SFTP server.
  • Customers who prefer can also use their own SSH key pair for securing SFTP access. In this case, the customer generates the key pair, shares the public key with Resilinc, and retains the private key. Resilinc configures the server to accept the public key for secure authentication. (This SSH key setup is for connection security and is separate from file-level encryption such as PGP.)
