What file encoding and encryption tool should be used before uploading files?

  • All source files should be encoded in UTF-8 before encryption to ensure they can be properly decrypted and processed during CDIF generation.
  • The mapping file structure does not need to be modified even when the files are encrypted.
  • Customers may use their own internal encryption tools or scripts as long as they are compatible with the encryption key and standards shared by Resilinc.
  • If an internal tool is unavailable or compatibility issues arise, Resilinc can provide a Python-based encryption utility that has been successfully used in previous implementations.
