Why are multiple WarRooms created for the same event or region, and why do supplier mappings differ?

  • This Multiple WarRooms may be created for the same event or region when different types of risks or disruption scenarios are being monitored.
  • Each WarRoom is designed with a specific scope, such as:
    • Logistics and transportation disruptions (e.g., shipping routes, airspace closures)
    • Direct impact from the event (e.g., conflict zones, on-ground disruptions)
  • Since each WarRoom focuses on a different risk dimension and may cover different impacted regions, the supplier mapping can vary between them. Suppliers are mapped based on whether their sites fall within the defined impact area for that specific WarRoom.
  • In some situations, WarRooms may be created at different points in time:
    • An initial WarRoom may be launched for early risk assessment
    • A subsequent WarRoom may provide a more structured or broader view as the situation evolves
  • Efforts are made to ensure better governance and avoid unnecessary duplication; however, multiple WarRooms can still occur when tracking distinct risk perspectives of the same event.
