Why do some sites have Site External IDs while others do not?

  • Site External ID is a customer-provided custom field that is uploaded through the CDIF file.
  • This field is optional and is not required for site creation or updates.
  • If a customer includes a Site External ID in the CDIF file, it will be available for that site in the system.
  • If the Site External ID is not provided in the CDIF file, the field will remain blank for that site.
  • As a result, it is expected that some sites have Site External IDs while others do not, depending on the data provided by the customer.
