Objective
User Defined Attribute (UDA) is a global data filtering feature on the Resilinc portal, which provides an enhanced flexibility for users to define their own filters. These are custom fields/columns which can be added at the supplier and site level data in the portal & can be uniquely defined by every customer.
- UDAs can be used to store any number or type of custom data, in addition to the content already available in Resilinc’s standard Customer Data Input File.
- With this feature customers can create preferences to categorize data. Thus, allowing the users to customize their user experience such as viewing data in the Resilinc portal & receiving relevant notifications based on their preferences etc. Users can configure their experience based on their roles and responsibilities or their company objectives.
- A quick and easy-to-add procedure is built in the Resilinc portal (described in the ‘How to configure’ section of this document) following which a user can customize their UDAs as desired.
Use Case
John is a purchase manager for the company ‘Jupiter Technologies’. Jupiter classifies its suppliers by ‘Spend Type’ and sites by its global ‘Region’. Since, John is a Super User for Resilinc system, after registering on the platform, John has been assigned company admin role. He now wants to configure the user experience for all the company users in way that each user will be able to view information for the set of suppliers/sites which are relevant to their role within Jupiter Technology whenever the user’s login to the Resilinc portal. John wants to create custom filters using their company specific-internal filters i.e., ‘Region’ and ‘Spend Type’.
